JANA GOES HOME. AGAIN JULY 2011

Unfortunately, Jana's original adoption did not work out, and Jana came back home to Lynette & Henry. On 23 July, Shell Lewis writes: Donna Ichikawa & her husband Tom Ditzler of Illinois met CRUSA foster mom, Katie Kneesel of Wisconsin, at a social function several weeks ago. They are experienced Cairn owners and looking to add to their pack; Katie sent them to our website. Just this past week they welcomed former mill girl, Jana, into their home. Her new name is Qanuk. Congratulations to Donna & Tom; a big THANKS to veteran foster parents, Lynette & Henry Henricksen of Wisconsin, as well as Ralph Takach of Indiana on our reference team who worked this application.

JETTIA GOES HOME 23 JULY 2011
Shell writes: Today, Sara Boden of Ohio travelled to Michigan to adopt Jettia, who was fostered by Al & Janet Sheffield. Jettia is looking forward to meeting her Cairn sister, Maddie, who is back at home. We are grateful to reference checker, Allison Thorn, for her work on this adoption, as well as Deb Neville from Teddy Rescue of Findley, Ohio, who graciously offered to do the home visit. MY BAGGAGE Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in my warm new bed. I'd like to open my baggage Lest I forget, There is so much to carry - So much to regret. Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top - Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there by my leash hide Fear and Shame. As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave - I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. I loved them, the others, the ones who left me, But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me. Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack? Or will you just look at my things And take me right back? Do you have the time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage, To never re-pack?
