PAM & BIRDY IN RACINE, WISCONSIN 13 APRIL 2006
Pam (the non-furry one) writes: I took a photo of Pam & Birdy tonight as I was sitting at the computer. Look at those faces! These girls are such dolls! They are quite the pair . . . Birdy MOTHERS Pam all the time. Their faces look a LOT alike. Pam is about ready to make a breakthrough in playing with the other dogs here. Birdy likes to break up the play so I hold her when they are trying to do that. They are sooooooooooooo cute! Birdy was lying there - all cute. It is a little chilly here now that the sun went down. I asked if she would like a blanket. She did not answer but I put on one her anyway. I think she liked it. Pam - well, I put one on her and she liked it but likes moving around more.
Good News! Birdy has been adopted . . . by Scott & Greg! Her new name is Midge, short for Midget Esther. New pictures of her at home are on Page 17. Good News2! Pam (the furry one) has been adopted . . .
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in my warm new bed. I'd like to open my baggage Lest I forget, There is so much to carry - So much to regret. Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top - Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there by my leash hides Fear and Shame. As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave - I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. I loved them, the others, the ones who left me, But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me. Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack? Or will you just look at my things And take me right back? Do you have the time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage, To never re-pack? I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see, But I do come with baggage - Will you still want me? -- Evelyn Colbath
