Andréa's hip; Annie; Micky's legs

Annie is a sweet girl. Gets along fine with the other Westies - I don't believe Annie has a vicious bone in her body. Not territorial at all.
She spent most of the afternoon in the yard with Woody & Daisy. I'm not sure if freedom was just so great, or if she just thought of the yard as one humongous crate or kennel and pacing in her kennel is what she always does when she's nervous. In any event, after logging may miles crisscrossing the yard and looking out in every direction, towards evening she seemed grateful to come inside and spend some time in a crate whose size was a bit more manageable. Slept or just sat inside for much of the evening, venturing out to see where we were at occasionally.
She had a good night & morning. Some time outside and some in with me checking out the morning beauty routine. Probably not that interesting, but W & D had taken themselves back to bed, so the master bedroom seemed to be the spot for dogs to hang out today.
Health-wise, I'm impressed. Great teeth! Chewed a rawhide some today. Legs appear strong - she makes it easily up & down the three steps between the mudroom & kitchen. Came all the way up an entire flight of stairs to the second floor when David & I were both in the fabulous master bedroom (it's actually not so fabulous, unless you're a dog looking for a belly rub or a cuddle). Don't know whether she can do a down staircase - not going to find out until we can arrange for a well-supervised trial run. Seems to run in the yard easily with the others.
Annie's nose markings look like those of a Koala
I think her skin condition is her biggest issue - she's not real cuddly with those areas where she has lost hair. Where she does have hair, it's very long & scraggly. David clips our Westies - we don't know much about stripping, so let us know if that is a requirement.
In the very near future we will try to make some effort to tidy up her appearance. Probably a foot trim is the first order of business. Great safety move for a dog who seems determined to climb our hardwood staircase.
A second issue is that at 18 pounds, Annie is not exactly svelte. Hopefully, the added activity of a yard & playmates will help her slim down.
We have the mange medicine and she does take it with a minimum of struggle.
