It's been a busy ten days for the Midwest team, with a number of our Cairns moving on to their forever homes. Those of us who regularly work rescue know that it takes a village to make every single adoption happen. Here are some of our recent placements and the hardworking volunteers who made it happen . . .
Earlier today, Ellie, a little Missouri mill girl went to her new home with Jen & Daniel Canan of Indiana. My thanks to veteran CRUSA foster home, Belinda Cheatham of Illinois, for fostering Ellie; to Barb Miller of Hammond, who conducted the home visit and assisted in Ellie's transport; and to reference checker Nelly Prezebel. Ellie is shown below with her proud new parents.
Other CRUSA volunteers I'd like to acknowledge . . .
Donna Venegas, our gal in Nebraska, was instrumental in getting most of the above dogs out of neglectful & abusive situations. Without her involvement & persistence, Ellie, Talon, Tessa & Tigger would not have such bright futures. Our Intakes Manager, Gayle Kiesow of Illinois continues to amaze me with her uncanny knack for finding foster homes where there seemingly are none . . . and Amie Conley is a whiz at pulling together transports at a moment's notice and making it all look so easy!
Thanks to everyone and congratulations to our new families!
