It is about 4:30 p.m. and I just got Murphy settled into my home.
He is adorable! Chunky little boy, but sweet as can be.
Loves to look out the window as I drive.
Found the highest point in the backrest; he was on top of the world.
Now that we are home, there are 'adjustments' going on with my pack.
I have him in my bedroom with a gate across the door.
That way mine can meet him and he is in a safe area.

Murphy is in Ruth's care now. He is a real doll.
Well-mannered, smart as a whip, housebroken, enjoys being outside.
Even in the rain, he just wants to check out everything.
He loves riding in the car, putting his front feet on the center console
and watching out the front window.

We got 'stuck' in the middle of a huge traffic backup in Ann Arbor.
Good thing that Murphy & I had just stopped for a nice long potty break.
About five miles later, dead-stopped traffic.
It took 2-1/2 hours to go two miles.
Murphy enjoyed the big rigs and smiling at the people in neighboring cars.
He was just a calming force for me.
I kept in touch with Ruth the whole time.
When they finally reopened the highway,
it took a whole ten minutes to get to her.
Oh well, the adventures of a dog-crazy old woman continue.
We finally found each other
(I wasn't where I thought I was, but we worked it out).
Poor Murphy couldn't understand why he couldn't stay with his new friend.
He warms up to people very quickly;
he & Ruth will be snuggling when they get home.
