Faith Hart writes: Merlin, (formerly Peter of THE MAGNIFICENT 7) & I were so happy to share the ride from Chicago to Racine with Cheryl & Julian Bane, who live near us in Chicago and whose home visit I had just undertaken the week before. They were all geared up to bring back one of the puppies from CairnFest. Seven-year-old Julian delightedly shared the back seat with a seatbelted Merlin (and Merlin's crate, which we never even took out of the car at CairnFest - few dogs would have wanted to miss a minute of the fun that day). We found CairnFest without trouble, though it was good to have a navigator in the car because the roads were a little confusing toward the end. Merlin was in doggie heaven all day. He rarely gets to run free, as we live in the city and he is on leash all the time, though it's a pretty long leash and he has lots of social interaction with his doggie group.
