The door prizes, the auction & the raffle items were so impressive and generous of so many people. I was delighted and a little embarrassed to win the raffle (because Julian, being the last door prize winner, was asked to pull the winning raffle ticket). His mom even quizzed him on the way home, and he said, "Of course I couldn't see the name; I put my hand to the bottom and pulled a name from there." (On the way back, Merlin sat up front in his seatbelt and Julian watched over little Nellie (soon renamed Willow) in her travel bag.) It was a beautiful basket filled with goodies, a couple of which I pressed upon Julian & his sister Quincy. But the basket has become Merlin's. It is just perfect to sit on the floor of our family room and hold all of his toys. We are looking forward so much to next year's CairnFest. Thank you to all who made it possible.
