JACKIE McGUINNESS writes from England: I enjoyed browsing the website and really did feel as if I'd been part of it all. I'm glad the scarves were a hit. It's so dificult to see anything to do with Cairns over here; it was just chance that IFAW sent them out at the right time. I will be keeping an eye out for something a bit different or unusual for next year. Wow! I'm puffed out after being a virtual guest at the 2007 MidWest CairnFest I fell in love 48 times with each fuzzy face and waggily tail and most of all with the tired little pup sound asleep in the pen his energy all used up for at least a minute or ten. The food and venue were just great, but wait, just take a look at the cake the weather was fine, the company grand to raise lots of dosh was part of the plan there was agility to watch and admire, the speed of the dog as round the course he ran grooming advice was on hand if you need it and best of all it was breed specific. All to soon it came to an end and off to their homes the revelers went well-fed and well-watered and carrying gifts tugging their leads for one extra sniff the behind-the-scenes work was still to complete to leave the venue all nice and neat off home for a sleep with ideas still buzzing yes, the plan for next year is gingerly forming . . .
In August, HOLLY CROTTY writes: Wrigley's name was drawn for a door prize and I selected the pet bed. We got new furniture a few months ago and we got rid of his favorite chair and he hasn't found "his place", yet so I thought the bed might be nice. He won't sleep in it, but he lies around and guards it like crazy. Tonight, Ben tried to get in it when Wrigley was "off duty". Wrigley waited until Ben got all cozy and situated, then started posturing and growling at him until he got out of it. That was about two hours ago and Wrigley hasn't taken his eye off that bed since. Although he won't use it properly, he certainly loves his gift.
In September, HOLLY CROTTY writes: KoKo wants to know if it's time for another CairnFest yet . . . it seems he's killed his bunny and wants his goodie bag for next year!
