THE EVENT SUNDAY, 29 JULY On Sunday, Pam & Steve Simpson, Shell Lewis, CairnDaddy & Andréa Denninger planned to meet at PPU at 8:30 a.m. Unfortunately, Andréa forgot to pick up the cake, so had to return to Kenosha and arrived around 9:30 a.m. There was a great deal of work to be done - more than we anticipated - as PPU is a very large facility; tables had to be moved and set up, food set out, registration table arranged, Silent Auction items to be displayed . . . Photo Courtesy of CairnDaddy The plastic binders were the Bidding Folders, containing the online photo & description and the highest online bid, which was the starting bid at The Event. Not very many items were auctioned off here, so they were mostly schlepped back home to be packed & shipped out to the online winners. This is something else that will be reconsidered at MIDWEST CAIRNFEST 2008 DONORS to the Silent Auction, to whom we are very grateful, are listed HERE
(That bag of Nutro samples should not have been left on the ground . . . samples were put in the big basket on the table, with the intention that they would be taken home. Not so . . . and the presence of food was a major aggression point for the few scuffles that took place. NO FOOD next year! For the dogs, that is . . . .)
