PUMPKIN SPICE
| |
AiredaleMom Lela Criswell sent me the recipe for the cake
. . . which she obtained from a newspaper-that-shall-not-be-named,
Mixing station #1 . . .
. . . ignore the salt; there isn't any in the recipe.
Sifting the dry ingredients . . .
Eggs & pumpkin purée . . .
And yes, it does look curdled, but that's normal, Lela sez . . .
Ready to pour into the bundt pan . . .
. . . the mixture is so liquid, I won't have to smooth it with a spatula.
So, what's wrong with this picture?
I'll give you a hint . . .
Yep, I completely forgot to add the dry ingredients!
Those are my stories and I'm stickin' to 'em!
So I scraped the mixture back into the just-washed bowl . . .
. . . and made the correction.
Even tho Julia Child famously dropped the turkey in her kitchen,
This sure looks a LOT better . . .
. . . and will taste better, too, I'm sure.
I re-sprayed the bundt pan . . .
. . . and I did have to smooth the mix with a spatula,
Out of the oven . . .
. . . and cooling on the wire rack . . .
. . . "guarded" by RicoBadBoy.
