I CANNOT FOLLOW *COOKING* RECIPES TO SAVE MY LIFE
As I wrote previously, I found THIS RECIPE, so I made it for ThanksDay dinner (which Neal is making) . . . The [hand] mixing station , , , My two little "helpers" couldn't decide if they wanted to wait for Neal to come out of his office, or watch me bake, so they compromised . . . The filling is "dumped" into the pan . . . . . . the spice cake box mix is "dumped" on top, then the butter is poured over this . . . Pecans - if used - would go on top, or crushed gingersnaps, etc. Frankly, I think using a pastry cutter to mix in softened butter, rather than melting and pouring it, would give it a more even distribution. As I searched for a photo of the Pumpkin Pie Dump Cake, I saw some topped with whipped cream, and some with caramel sauce. So I will serve it with whipped cream today and try this recipe tomorrow.

LEMON CAKES VERY PRETTY HERE
