[NO-BAKE]
GOLDEN OREO™
CAKE BATTER
ICE CREAM PIE

30 APRIL & 1 MAY 2023

I still had a Family Package of GOLDEN OREO™ cookies in the pantry;
as they are just vanilla cookies with vanilla cream,
I thought to add almond flavoring.

I found something even better on the Confessions of a Baking Queen site -
[NO-BAKE] GOLDEN OREO™ CAKE BATTER ICE CREAM PIE . . .

GOLDEN

It was the colorful SPRINKLES that caught my eye,
just as GLITTER draws my attention.

I had all the ingredients to hand,
so I began with the pulsing station for the CRUST . . .

GOLDEN

I again used a 9" cake pan, which worked well for the OREO™ PIE,
as well as for the 3-INGREDIENT KEY LIME PIE I made after that one.

The mixture is more the texture of peanut butter . . .

GOLDEN

. . . whereas the OREO™; crust was more crumbly . . .
AND I realize now that I forgot to spray the pan
before lining the bottom with parchment paper.

Pulsing station for FILLING . . .

GOLDEN

As only 1/4 cup of the cake mix was used,
I will have to figure out what to do with the rest of it.
Neal suggested muffins/cupcakes;
I'll have to do some math for the other ingredients.
That's a challenge for another day!

Whipping cream and condensed milk - it tasted great . . .

GOLDEN

Again, I made the cookies for the filling too small;
they should've been chopped.

So, here's a pre-freezer picture, WITH FLASH . . .

GOLDEN

. . . and, here's a pre-freezer picture, WITHOUT FLASH . . .

GOLDEN

Now we wait for six hours at least,
which means we'll be trying this either for a Midnight Snack,
or for tomorrow's Breakfast. Stay Tuned!

I thought, as I sorted out the sprinkles,
that the red and green ones would be
good to use during the Howliday Season.

THE NEXT DAY . . .

GOLDEN

I'd been SURE the sprinkles would "bleed" all over the cake,
but as you can see, the colors were stable.

So, you are probably asking . . . "What happens when
you forget to spray the pan with PAM™?"

GOLDEN

I heated water in the microwave to cut the pie with a warm knife
VERY CAREFULLY, as I didn't want to mark up the pan.
GOOD THING I lined the bottom with a circle of parchment paper.

Between the warm knife and a warm [plastic] pie server,
I managed to BREAK OUT two pieces, along with their crusts . . .

GOLDEN

Now that two pieces are out, the rest should be easier.

AND IT TASTES DELICIOUS!
It's very rich, tho, so I'll be cutting smaller pieces.
