And here you have my Patriotic Pie . . .

LEMON-BLUEBERRY

NTS: Put strawberries stalk/cut side down next time.

This would be a cool recipe to make for a July 4th party;
double the recipe, use a 9" x 13" baking dish,
use a smaller piping tip to make stars with the whipped cream
over a layer of blueberries (you don't need 50 stars),
then the [larger] Wilton 1M piping tip for whipped cream
& strawberry slices for the stripes.

As long as I already had a mess in the kitchen,
I purée the strawberries that probably
wouldn't last until we finished eating this pie . . .

LEMON-BLUEBERRY

Each bag contains 200 grams of purée,
enough for STRAWBERRY MOUSSE #1
or STRAWBERRY MOUSSE #2.
I may do this with the blueberries I have left, too.

Miss Emmie, who had "lost" me earlier in the day,
insisted on staying in the kitchen, under my feet,
for the strawberry puréeing session . . .

LEMON-BLUEBERRY

I'm bored as h*ll, but I'm staying right here. I already made a fool of myself today
by barking at an empty room. Pops told Mom and they laughed at me.
