STRAWBERRY CREAMCHEESE CAKE ROLL REDUX 10 AUGUST 2022
I made another batch of batter for the cake roll, keeping in mind my checklist of changes mentioned previously . . . * Do some arm exercises so that I can whisk by hand for longer - Um, no * Use a smaller jelly roll pan - CHECK * Eliminate the fancy-schmancy decorations - CHECK * Use parchment paper instead of a kitchen towel - CHECK (Which is why there is extra parchment paper on the left.)
* Try using my food processor (this 41-year-old Cusinart) with the slicing blade to slice the strawberries - CHECK
This worked out beautifully . . . . . . without risking my fingers whilst chopping up slippery strawberries. * Remember to keep back some strawberries for decorating the top - CHECK Aren't these beautiful?
