I seem to be on a cornbread kick;
today it continued with this

[Hand] mixing station . . .

I again used one-half 2% milk & one-half heavy cream.


Dry ingredients in one bowl . . .

. . . whisked together . . .

CORNBREAD


. . . wet ingredients in another bowl, whisked together . . .

CORNBREAD


. . . adding all wet ingredients to the dry . . .

"You're gonna need a larger bowl!"

. . . and about an hour later . . .

Notice I sprinkled some corn meal on the top to give it some crunch.




Taste Testing: Because the creamed corn I used was No Salt Added,
and I didn't think to add extra salt, the taste is rather flat.
Also, not very sweet. Much as I like creamed corn,
I don't care for the chewiness it imparts to the cornbread.
We'd rather eat our creamed corn as creamed corn,
not hidden in among a bread/cake.

Both of us agree that of the three cornbreads,
CHEESY CORNBREAD #2 is our favorite.
Now, does anyone want to come over to help us eat
this large batch of cornbread? Please!
