ICE ICE

ICE CREAM BREAD
[OR CAKE]
26 AUGUST 2023

I have to confess: I've had an ICE CREAM BREAD recipe
in my recipe box for YEARS, but it just didn't sound appetizing.

Then Neal gave me another recipe for it he'd gotten online,
and, well, it didn't sound any more appealing.

But then I saw a YT video of B. Dylan Hollis making this
ICE CREAM BREAD [OR CAKE] . . .

ICE

. . . and just seeing how much he enjoyed it made me want to try it . . .

DYLAN

Did you know that Dylan is a jazz pianist?

You can hear one of his compositions HERE

So I thought, what if we call it an ICE CREAM CAKE?
That sounds a lot more appealing, amiright?

With only three ingredients, how could I mess this up?
Neal brought home HAAGEN-DAZS™ Dulce de Leche ice cream,
and we're on Hurricane Watch, so it's a good time to bake!
(So long as the electricity doesn't go out.)

Weighing station . . .

ICE

Sixteen and 1/10 ounces; a leetle over two cups . . .

ICE

[Hand] mixing station . . .

ICE

. . . flour & baking powder into ice cream . . .

ICE

(I added a pinch of salt to the recipe for next time.)

. . . mixture finished . . .

ICE

. . . into loaf pan and into oven . . .

ICE

. . . to come out looking like this 50 minutes later . . .

ICE

. . . and the inside . . .

ICE

The texture was good, especially for something so simple to make.
I would suggest a more strongly-flavored ice cream, tho.
There was very little taste with this Dulce de Leche flavor.
