Why Is It Called Quiche Florentine?
The term Florentine in the context of food refers to dishes
Little did I know that I was making European dishes all this time!
Putting-it-all-together station . . .
I forgot to thaw the spinach, so I had it in a bowl with hot water for a while.
I put half an onion thru the Cuisiart&trade
. . . but it pretty much puréed it instead . . .
Squeezed-out spinach, mostly thawed . . .
First layer of spinach . . .
. . . then first layer of onion . . .
. . . and first layer of Swiss cheese . . .
Second layer of spinach . . .
. . . second layer of onion . . .
. . . and second layer of Swiss cheese . . .
Mixture of eggs, Worcester sauce, salt, Parmesan cheese . . .
. . . mushrooms, dill weed, etc., would be added here.
I just KNEW there was too much liquid for this pie crust . . .
. . . altho by pouring slowly and pressing down
The dog I usually can't keep out of the kitchen . . .
Maybe she only responds to the scent of pumpkin pie spice.
Out of the oven . . .
. . . onto the cooling rack . . .
