Sue & Mike Losinger at the mini-CairnFest.

Sue writes:

Mike & I left for our pick-up on a SUNNY Sunday morning, which turned into rain near Holland, Michigan. Because we were going to be gone for four to five hours, we decided to take the gang: Buddy (a wheaton, in the red), Hailey (the dark girl with pink), little Ruby Ella Slippers (cute as always in purple), and our very large (32 pounds, down from 35) wheaton foster Zoekie. It rained all the way to Exit 4, but the sun was shining when we got to Exit 1 to meet Faith, Merlin & Scotty.

Faith & Merlin & Scotty were just getting out of the car and were all excited to see us. We made a pretty big family of Cairns when we all got together. All of the dogs got along so well; after everyone got to potty & drink & potty again, Faith took pictures of us all.

Mike & I climbed into the big truck with all the dogs seatbelted in the back and started back to Grand Rapids by way of Jenison (not very far from home). We got back to Exit 4 and it was raining again, but it stopped a few minutes later.

We had to have a potty stop about five miles from Scotty's new home and I realized I had forgotten to bring the Somersets' address or phone number.

So now the fun began. Scotty started whining and wouldn't stop. I had to try to remember where the Somersets live. We got to their subdivision and we drove around; we stopped at the wrong house; we asked a pedestrian - he didn't know them - then we left the subdivision. We headed back in and drove right to their house. Tami & her daughter were waiting for us and we had a mini-reunion, as we had done their Home Visit. Scotty seemed very happy to be out of the car and into his loving family's arms.
