See what I mean? Here's Louie getting a bath . . . 'cause he ZOOMED thru his own p**p! | |
The next day, Shannon writes:
OMG, I am POOPED and then some!!! I had to put him down for a nap this afternoon, but what a little doll he is, and so smart! You did awesome with his training; no accidents and on the papers, too! I'm so so glad you sent that crate . . . I went to put him in ours, opened it up and the lever popped off and springs, etc., went flying. Joe said it's a goner from when Tavish chewed on it, and he couldn't fix it . . . so thank you!!
I am so enjoying him, such a cutey patooty! Mickey despises him, Maggy tolerates him but isn't feeling well so she is a bit touchy. I don't blame her, as he hangs from her face hair, bites her all over her legs, and then tries to either a) hump her; or b) ride on her back while hanging onto her neck hair . . . poor Maggy girl . . .
I got to meet Chester [neighbor's new Westie puppy] tonight and they did run around a lot . . . so I asked Katie if I could borrow him to wear Louie out a bit at night; she said it'll be good for both of them!! It was so cute to see them play together! Chester is around a year old.
Thanks again for taking ZL for me . . . he is really comical, and he is a snuggler too . . . he took to my son Brian when he stopped over tonight, following him everywhere!
The little guy fell asleep ON the bed with Joe, who was supposed to put him IN the kennel . . . guess who is smitten with Louie. And when Joe gets home from work, Louie follows him everywhere. I had to run some errands tonight and Joe wanted to work on his car so he put him in the x-pen in the garage and they "conversed" for awhile . . . He actually "talk"s now when Joe asks him questions; he does the little growling, and then barks at him . . . so funny!!
I am enjoying him lots, but oh I'm a little sore from the bending etc. He is so good too!! Your newspapers are going to come in handy because man oh man does he pee & poop a whole lot! You were right on with that one!
Mickey gives him a WIDE berth or zooms past him as fast as he can, and Maggy still isn't feeling well so she too goes just out of reach for him and his leash . . . now that's funny!
16 October:
What a delight he is and so good!
Louie, Louie what a sweetheart . . . NEVER stops!! Actually he fell asleep around my neck tonight . . . and oh I loved that. I kept kissing his little belly, only time I can get anywhere near him . . . and boy do M&M dislike him . . . immensely to say the least. He was "sneaking"up on Mickey tonight . . . I was laughing so hard I was almost crying . . . he was slowly creeping up on him, and he was looking the other way like if I don't look at him he won't notice me . . . OMG too funny! I will miss the little guy.
18 October:
Well our Zoomie Louie has a fantastic new home as of today . . . I did the home visit and all was wonderful . . . You want to hear the best part . . . after I did the ref/vet checks I called Elizabeth to set up the home visit . . . we chatted for a while and she asked me how I pronounced our last name. When I told her she asked if Shane was my son, which he is. Then she said that she taught with him at the same school for three years!! I called Shane and he said she is great person who was always talking about her dog Gus (their cairn just died) and, yes, they will be good people to adopt to.
I was very pleased with the people, really liked them and felt Louie will have a great home with them!! They fell in love, of course!!! Great family neighborhood. Their only child is away at college, so it's just the two of them. They had their dog Gus' collar hanging at the end of the couch because that's where he liked to be the best!! Good people!!
