STACEY AT HOME

27 DECEMBER 2008

Here are a few pictures of Stacey since
she's been settling in at her new home.

A Romp in the Yard

Stacey & Chester playing in the backyard. You can see she's trying to get Chester to play with her. Today she has picked up on Chester's favorite game of running the fence and racing the neighbor's dog on the other side. We got to hear her barking and having a great time.

Hangin' in the Den

Stacey & Chester just hanging out in the family room in between their rigorous schedule of naps & trips to the backyard.

Sweaters

Everyone has on a winter sweater. Stacey is sporting her new blue one that Christy made for her to match the green one she made for Chester.

Taking a Nap

Stacey settling down by the fireplace
with her head on the doggie bed.

Excuse me . . . I'm Napping Here

Here she was looking up to say "Um, I'm really happy to be near you, but I'm also kind of busy napping, is that ok?" She's such a sweetheart!

Bedtime

Christy is getting both pups settled in for a long winter's nap.

We just returned from taking the dogs for a walk a little while ago and she had a blast. She walked like a perfect lady in her harness, on the leash splitter with Chester in his harness. She was obviously happy as she was panting and making her little 'croaking' noises as she was walking with her tail wagging like crazy.

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage
Lest I forget,
There is so much to carry -
So much to regret.

Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top -
Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss,
And there by my leash hide Fear and Shame.
As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave -
I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain.

I loved them, the others, the ones who left me,
But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage?
Will you help me unpack?
Or will you just look at my things
And take me right back?

Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage,
To never re-pack?
I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see,
But I do come with baggage -
Will you still want me?
