KAYLEIGH GOES HOME 31 DECEMBER 2008

Shell Lewis writes: Kayleigh was adopted yesterday by Kris Smith & her two girls, Maren & Perry, in Wisconsin. Kris grew up with Cairns. FosterMom Kris Fredricksen says goodbye to Kayleigh. Shannon Radosevich writes: Kim emailed me and told me that Kayleigh is the best . . . and all Cairn . . . Kim had a Cairn while growing up, so she knows all about what to expect! Kris (Kayleigh's foster mom) cried when Kayleigh left, but told Kim she is so happy that she was going to be getting so much love. Maren & Kayleigh The girls adore her and are so excited to have their own dog. Maren keeps telling her mom how Kayleigh is the perfect dog! Perry ran in while Kim was emailing me to tell her that Kayleigh kissed her again and that she loves her! Kayleigh & Perry I had the privilege of doing their home visit and they are a really great family. The girls are so well behaved and Kim is teaching them how to handle a dog. I took Baby Hannah with me and they were so good with her . . . I was impressed! that Kim ordered Kayleigh her new Puppia harness last night, in pink, of course!! I think Kayleigh has hit the doggy jackpot! Maren, Kayleigh & Perry

Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed, All nicely tucked in my warm new bed. I'd like to open my baggage Lest I forget, There is so much to carry - So much to regret. Hmm . . . Yes there it is, right on the top - Let's unpack Loneliness, Heartache and Loss, And there by my leash hide Fear and Shame. As I look on these things I tried so hard to leave - I still have to unpack my baggage called Pain. I loved them, the others, the ones who left me, But I wasn't good enough - for they didn't want me. Will you add to my baggage? Will you help me unpack? Or will you just look at my things And take me right back? Do you have the time to help me unpack? To put away my baggage, To never re-pack? I pray that you do - I'm so tired you see, But I do come with baggage - Will you still want me? -- Evelyn Colbath
