When the parade was over,
Braveheart needed a big drink
of cold water before walking back
the Vet School's booth
for one last round of petting & praise.
Lisa was sure Braveheart would sleep like a log
once it was over, but after a short nap on the way home,
Braveheart played a rousing game of chase with his doggie "brother" Dodger.
It's absolutely amazing how much energy & stamina he has now,
given that he was literally at death's door
three and a half months ago!

JUDY BYRD:
Very impressive recovery, very impressive dog. I would never have guessed he could look that "normal"!
And such a celebrity he is! I've known Marti (One Starfish) for a long, long, LONG time via email, from her taking in NE OH pound dogs.
BOBBI PROCYK:
Oh my gosh . . . just brought me to tears to see Braveheart looking so wonderful and having such a loving family now.
KATHY FALCONE:
OMG - what a remarkable story & dog! Those pictures of Braveheart with the Wisconsin mascot are hysterical.
JEANNE PLAUTH:
This update makes my week. Please thank Neal for the animation. To see Braveheart at the fair, he just looks SOOOOOOOOOOOO great and so self-confident. He has beautiful eyes and the photo with the caption, "I'll give you a year to stop" is simply beautiful.
PATTYJO HUFF-MARTINEZ:
I watch Braveheart's story over and over. And my family from Mad City [Madison, Wisconsin] even sent me a clip or two of the parade as it was taking place. As I watch him in private. I tear up, oh hell. I admit I cry full on. No matter how sad or how great he's doing I cry. It amazes me how any of these souls who find people like all of you. If there really are angels in this world. it would be all the dogs, cats, or any creature that was dumped, hurt, or crucified by a human.
BENNIE JONES:
The loving look in Braveheart's eyes to his fur mom Lisa says it ALL. I am embarrassed that I did not know about rescue's mission, but believe education is the key and these cases should be in the forefront all the time. Children should taught this lesson in schools and value traits are required lesson plans and responsibility for pets could be incorporated so easily. I am amazed about the number of people, who like myself before, don't either.
Thank you for caring all that work in this field and Braveheart is a shining example why we should care.
BOB ANDERSON:
Great update! Neal did a fantastic job with the before & after animation . . . .
