Poor Braveheart has been going downhill since the weekend (in spite of feeding him good food, starting him on antibiotics, and deworming him), so we had to take him in to the vet hospital for fluids etc. today. He had been vomiting and having terrible diarrhea for two days, and he was starting to become very dehydrated and depressed. Please say an extra prayer for him!
DIANE ESKENASY:

Please send healing thoughts, good well wishes, and prayers for Braveheart. He went into shock this afternoon and I rushed him to the UW Vet School in Madison. They have him in intensive care tonight, and the next 24 to 48 hours will be critical.
He has lost four pounds in the last four days, and he looks like a dehydrated rack of bones.
Please keep him in your thoughts . . . and pray that he doesn't give up.

Braveheart is still at the Vet School today.
He was vomiting (and had terrible diarrhea) yesterday, and he was very dehydrated and weak. The vet at the Vet School said Braveheart was going into shock, and it was a good thing we rushed him in when we did.
They've done x-rays, blood tests and an ultrasound; they are are giving him fluids & antibiotics today. He hasn't vomited since around 2 a.m., so they're going to give him a little water and food this afternoon to see if it stays down.
If it does, they'll give him Panacur for his worms (which, after that one worming we did, were still so numerous that they even saw them on the ultrasound!).
They are a little worried that he might have a bowel obstruction, but they don't want to have to give him a barium swallow until he isn't so prone to vomit it right up.
So . . . he is holding his own, but not really any better yet. Please keep Braveheart in your thoughts & prayers.
