STARFISH MAX IS TUTORED . . . NOT 14 FEBRUARY 2011
Marti writes: Max was scheduled to be neutered today, but our vet said his skin was so thickened & infected (around his testicles as well as many other places), that she didn't feel comfortable making an incision. So . . . he had a medicated bath today, and he will be going back every three days for more medicated baths.
In the meantime, we're waiting for all the pills that he is on (three different kinds of skin medications, as well as the medication for his lungworm) to start working. Poor guy . . . he's so itchy he's going crazy! I have made an appointment for Max to be seen by our holistic veterinarian on Friday. It's an hour and a half trip each way, but this doctor has performed miracles on some of our other special needs dogs, so it will be worth the trip. We're keeping our fingers crossed! Please keep Max in your thoughts and prayers.
