I didn't want to leave Dudley alone all day while I schlepped to Iowa to pick up the two shelter dogs (FIELD OF CAIRNS HERE). And I didn't want to bring him along because he's had enough transport time in his short little life. So I took him to Ruffner's Doggie Day Care in St. Charles (Skippy & Molly go there from time to time).
They absolutely fell in love with Dudley. I told them I only wanted him playing with small pups - no dogs - he's too little.
There was only one other puppy there today; apparently Dudley wasn't too interested. He was, however, fascinated with Owner Kim Ruffner's c*t, and they played together all day long.
Dudley was a huge hit; when I went to pick him up this evening and pay the bill (this was Skippy & Molly's treat), they said, "It's on us . . . he was a pleasure to have!" Gee . . . they never say that about MY dogs. All I ever hear is "Skippy was in a time-out FOUR times today!" Anyway . . . they loved him; here's a pic of Kim with Dudley.
The Howenstine family is coming to my house tomorrow to adopt their little Dudley, who will be renamed Cubby.
