Today was a bittersweet day as we had to say goodbye to Mildred. What a delight she's been! On her last day with our family, we took her to the dog park for a brisk morning walk and then she & Skippy & Molly enjoyed a few warm hours in the sun before she left for her Forever Home.
George & Carlene were so excited to see her again. Their son, Matt, and family friend, Raoul, were also visiting and were taken with Mildred's many charms (she's a great kisser!).
Roaul is a master remodeler and has been busy building a ramp for both Mr. Brittain & Mildred to use.
When Jim & I left the Brittain home, Mildred (nickname: Millie) was exploring her wonderful new backyard, complete with birds & chipmunks. Good luck, Mildred! We wish you a wonderful life in your forever home!
Skippy and Molly put together a "baby book" for the Brittain family with all of Mildred's pictures and the story documenting her journey from her intake in Missouri . . . to her arrival at her new home.
Another successful Rescue Story, Thanks to CRUSA!
