I'm really glad to hear that the pup's doing better. I really hated to hear that she had been distressed during the transport.

We brought her sister home last night from Indianapolis. What nice people are Allie Hotstetter & Sandy Check. We were happy to meet two of the brothers, one who was on his way to Ft. Wayne, IN. What curious little furballs.

We named our little girl KODA ("friend" in Dakota Sioux). When she got to our house she played with every toy. At crate time, she cried for her mother, brothers & sisters. Boy, does she have good lungs!I finally succumbed to her whining at 3:00 a.m. and she slept with me on the couch. It felt so good to have a little one again.

We are so happy with our adoption. It would be nice to hear from from other adopters of Scout & Maddie's pups occasionally.

Glad to hear that KODA is fitting in nicely!

This website for the puppies that will be updated as people send in info. We welcome photos and little stories as they settle in and keep you hopping with their puppy antics.

Thanks again, everyone!

Talk about an overnight change: We took KODA to the Little League game last night. She wanted to play with every kid; then she wooed the parents with her charm.

We took her home around 9:30 p.m. She wanted to play with every toy again, so we played. Robin decided to make a nest for her in our bedroom, where KODA slept in silence ALL NIGHT! What a change. What a social animal we have.

We selected the smaller, quieter female as our new family member. We soon found out that she is NOT quiet at all and is a very, very fiesty little gal! We are thrilled how well she has fit right into our family. She gets along great with our dog, Hank, and loves all his things . . . especially his food. In fact, she isn't very interested in her puppy food at all.

Today she went to work with us at our garden shop. She was a big hit! In fact, we took the opportunity to talk about Airedale Rescue to many of our customers, most of whom did not know it existed. One man, whose Airedale passed away in January 2010, is ready for a new friend and will be contacting Sandy today! HURRAY for rescues!
