26 NOVEMBER: SECOND WATER THERAPY

TANK FILLING

She was STRUGGLING A BIT to keep up with the treadmill,
even though it was set at same speed as last time.

Then she was AT THE RIGHT SPEED,
but she stumbled when a door was closed in the room.

A little of her COOL DOWN

Luna getting some assistance to keep up

After her 15-minute walk
(may have been a couple minutes longer;
I forgot to ask, or look at the clock).

Ph

This is one tired girl; her legs were shaking at the end,
and you can see her standing with them together in these photos.

27 & 28 NOVEMBER: LUNA'S THANKSGIVING

Ph

Where's the turkey?

Luna went with us to Indianapolis
(about a three-hour drive one way)
to celebrate our family Thanksgiving.
Once again she was an awesome traveler,
sleeping the majority of the way,
and just getting up to look around and adjust her sleeping position.

Ph

She did whine a while when she was left with my nephew
as her babysitter on Wednesday night
when we went out to hear some storytellers,
but can't blame her as she was in a new place with a new person.
Once we returned, I didn't leave her again while we were there,
and she did not whine again.

Ph

This was probably the most people she'd ever been around,
12 for Thanksgiving. There were also two other dogs
(one is in the background in the photo above),
both a bit smaller in stature than her,
one quite a busy girl of I believe four years, and one an older dog,
10 or 11, also with hip and leg issues.
She was tolerant of both.

Luna once again was not fond of eating out of her ordinary location,
and didn't take any dog treats from anyone
(including me), except for the cheese with meds.
She did eat her food on the second day there,
and while she walked around most of the time with her tail tucked,
she did wander in and out of the crowd,
and would settle when the people were less boisterous.
Her first Thanksgiving party was a success, in my opinion.

Ph

We returned home Friday evening;
she immediately went outside, pottied, came inside,
ate a bowl of food, pulled a ball to chew on a bit,
and then curled up on her bed.

Ph

Looked like she was glad to be back in familiar surroundings.
