PUPPIES ARE GROWING UP

8 SEPTEMBER 2018

Becky writes: Here is a quick update on the TEXAS 11+:

All of the dogs have been placed in foster-to-adopt homes
except the two Airedoodle girls, PEARL & ALLIE,
and one Airedale girl, CALLIE.
Both of the Airedoodles are making great strides in socialization
and are going to be great dogs for someone.
One of our volunteers is working with PEARL daily,
taking her for walks and to her home for play and to give her new experiences.

HITCH, the boy with double pneumonia, continues to improve
and will soon be back to playing wildly with his buddy HAPPY.

CASEY, now Cassinova (Casanova?), did have to have surgery
to correct eyelid entropion on one eye,
but will soon be healed enough to go to his adopted home.

All three of BLUE BELL's surviving puppies are thriving
and have moved to eating puppy gruel from a pan.

ALLIE's six are thriving as well and are also on the gruel,
altho they are tending to wear it more then eat it.

[I never saw 'BLUE BELL' ice cream before . . .
now I saw it at WalMart the other day. I recognized the packaging.

[Sherry replies: It's a huge Texas favorite.
The Blue Bell creamery is located in Brenham, Texas,
which is where the foster volunteer who whelped BLUE BELL's litter lives.]

ALLIE's pups had their puppy pen cleaned, litter box changed
and I added the gravity-fed stainless steel waterer.
And, as you can see if you look closely, they played in the water bowl.
They are also drinking out of ALLIE's water bucket.

Then they had their first meal and they are all pretty pleased with that.
I know ALLIE will be pleased about it.

WISH LIST

3 SEPTEMBER 2018

Ph

Sherry writes:

I made an Amazon.com wish list ready to get
some donations of toys, bowls, treats, etc., so we can add those
to the puppy collar, leash and food TART will provide so the pups
will have a nice "Going Home" pack.

Linda Bell & I are making some small fleece blankets that I will hang
from the sides of the puppy pens the last few days before they leave
so they will have something that smells like their siblings.

I plan to do some early lite obedience training and crate training
and should have crates to offer to send home with each pup.
