Back home in Kenosha - only a few miles from
where he probably was born - we wait for Chuck
to come over to meet Beau. In the house, our Cairn
Six-Pack barks & barks at Beau from behind
a gate; Beau does nothing more than look at them with
interest. Talk about a calm dog!

Beau was much more interested in watching our neighbor put up holiday decorations than in getting his picture taken . . .

Time to saddle up, Beau, and go home with Chuck.
New adventures await you (you have no idea!).

Ph

Isn't this the cutest picture?
Those floppy ears go boing, boing, boing
as he moves, or rides in the crate.
He is so interested in EVERYthing now.

Just as I was saying to Chuck, "Be careful;
you have to pick him up to put him in the crate
and he is skittish . . .", Beau jumped into the
crate by himself! My Mother used to say,
"Kids & dogs will make liars out of you every time."

Ph

ANOTHER ^*(&^)*&_(*$$ CRATE!?!
When do I get to run free in a yard with other dogs???

Ph

Only five more minutes, Beau . . .

Ph

Well, that's what we thought. As I came out of the
house to drive my car (the one Beau is in; Chuck's car
is too small for that crate), I fell off the steps onto
the garage floor, twisting my right ankle,
banging my left knee and right wrist.
Told Neal & Chuck to just leave me there
to recover from the shock and take Beau home . . .
which is why there aren't any pictures of his arrival
at Chuck & Jay's house. Probably no Howliday
decorations this year, either. I feel like I'm doing
a poor imitation of HOUSE, but without
the Vicodin and the cane. So far.
Tomorrow, Neal's cane will be put to use again.

Chuck called later to report that:

1. Beau pooped outside; peed inside.
Good thing they have linoleum floors.
Now starts the housebreaking!

2. The dog he thought would have
the most problem with Beau (Mugs),
is the one that is warming to him the quickest.

3. Beau is investigating the entire house,
including the dusty area under the basement steps.

4. Beau is drinking; he will get one or two
very small meals before bedtime.

5. Gordita - the abandoned, toothless,
overweight, geriatric Chihuahua -
is the most inclined to intimidate Beau.
By gumming him on the ankles.
