HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MACIE & MERRILEE! 6 DECEMBER 2013
	On 12 November, Carolyn writes: Macie is doing very well and getting big. Nearing 60 pounds and still filling out. I think she's reached her full height, though.
(Obviously, she knows how to relax, too. -ad) She had a great summer, with LOTS of swimming and chasing LOTS of frisbees in our back yard with Brodie & her neighbor dog friend, Holly (a black lab/golden retriever mix). She goes to doggie daycare with Brodie every other week, which gives them a day to play with friends while we are at work. She spent one day (or more) every week at the barn with me this spring, summer, and fall. She is a barn dog. She just lies in the barn watching me groom my horse and she wanders to the fence line of our outdoor arena to watch me ride. She also plays with Brodie, my aunt's husky Teko, and miniature dachshund Rascal, when she is at the barn. She went to my cousin's baseball games . . . . . . and spent lots of time at the beach with our family too. We sure keep her & Brodie very busy. You can sure see how fast she grew this spring & summer. All the snow we got today reminded me of housebreaking Macie in the dead of winter last year. So glad we're out of that stage. Brrrr. 5 December: Just wanted to share that Macie got a pretty haircut today. She looks beautiful. Carolyn adds: Lynn, Thanks for the wonderful update about Macie on her birthday! We use "disc golf" discs/frisbees when we play in the yard because they go a super long distance compared to normal frisbees. She loves to run & chase so we bought her a brand new one that is just for her. Josh would always give her his old ones or ones he found at disc golf courses that others had lost in the weeds. Today she got a brand new one that is supposed to be rated as one of the best for distance. She has spent the whole night chasing it in the back yard. Thanks for taking Charlotte in when she needed it most and giving us the opportunity to have such a wonderful pup to add to our little family.
