Noelle & Merry are much more active today.
Sometimes instead of suckling, they crawl all over Charlotte.
I had a really good photo op and no camera at hand:
Merry had climbed up on Charlotte's neck and fallen asleep.
How cute.
They both have gained weight!
Roughly an ounce and a half.
Try weighing a wiggly puppy on a postal scale . . .
taking averages of the wildly-swinging needle.
Merry
But the best news of all is that friends of mine are interested
in adopting one of them when the time is right.
They live close enough to come see the pups . . .
perhaps several times as they are growing. Awesome news.
I have to admit that was in my thoughts quite a bit today.
Many more kind words are coming and I appreciate them all the more.
But at least today I know that I need to concentrate
on Charlotte, Noelle & Merry . . .
and see them through all of this and into
happy homes in 's memory.
It will be her legacy. Her short, little life will have meaning . . . at least for me.
JACKIE McGUINNESS:
It is so good to see Noelle & Merry looking fat & healthy. I was nearly called Noelle; the nurses were singing that when I was born. I always said if I'd been called Noelle, I would have been a tall blonde film star, but Mum promised her childless friend she could choose my name so, here I am: Jac of all trades, master of none. I was too sad this morning to write anything when I read about , but now remembering what mum said about my name also reminded me of another of her other sayings, The smaller the package, the greater the . Wee ' time here was short but she was loved by many. We will all have a tiny -sized space in our hearts, and our souls will shine brighter in the reflected light from her star.
