ENZO'S COUNTDOWN CONTINUES
10 DECEMBER (USA)
11 DECEMBER (OZ)

Ph

Enzo & Helmuth in Vienna on 10 December evening

Hi, Helmut,

I just checked my world clock and it is 2:30 Sunday afternoon for you. It is half an hour after midnight here, so it's Monday morning (12:30 a.m.).

Ph

Enzo before Stephansdom in Vienna

I am imagining that very shortly, Frantisek will arrive with Enzo, from Brno. I wish wish wish I could be there!

I hope and pray that nothing will go wrong (though I am sure with both of you in charge, nothing will!!) ,and I know that Enzo will have a happy & calm time with you until his departure in the morning.

Ph

Enzo on the trip in Christmas Vienna

I have written several times to Simona Mikulikova, the lady in Brno who has been caring for him. I haven't had a reply from her, but I can imagine she will be feeling very sad to say goodbye to Enzo this morning. She has cared for him wonderfully well, and without her and Frantisek, Enzo would not be alive. He would definitely not be making this flight, that's for sure.

This is the biggest rescue I have ever done. The Airedale Community all around the world is waiting with me for news of Enzo starting his journey to Australia.

I will await your news with holding my breath, and I will start to breathe again when you tell me all is well.

Perhaps I had better go to bed instead!

Sue writes: Excited beyond belief!

. . . is how I am right now. I just received a wonderful photo of Enzo, now safely arrived in Vienna and eating his dinner like a pro. No anxieties for this boy. What a great (and I mean great) treasure he looks. He is HUGE!

Atia has been forever telling me how large he is. I believe her.

Well, as you can guess, the photo - sent by Helmut (in Vienna) overnight - has reduced me to floods of tears.

So, one more sleep and HE WILL BE HERE!

And Enzo's arrival at 5:00 p.m. as he touches down in Melbourne tomorrow (Tuesday) will mark the drawing of his Raffle. Last 24 hours chance to win Emma's Wallhanging and the other gorgeous prizes! We are a mere pebble short of $4000AUD and I will know the final amount required when Helmut emails me after Enzo's departure.

And THANK YOU with all my heart for all your incredible and amazing and loving support in bringing Enzo HOME AT LAST. Thank you to everyone!

Enzo's Journey is nearly done.

Choked up in Oz

Sue - wiping tears again and again and again

ELLANA LIVERMORE:

Darn . . . I'm as excited as Sue is . . . and the rest of the ADT world. Holding our breath that he arrives safely.

EVIE FEISELER:

Go HERE to see what time it will be where YOU live when Enzo's plane touches down in Melbourne! This link is to the world clock website, and I've fixed the time to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, 12 December, in Melbourne. Just find your time zone on the page.

Evie, praying for Enzo to be peaceful & safe during the flight from Vienna

JAN WILLIAMS:

He certainly looks like he enjoys his dinner. He looks wonderful!

SALLY SCHNELLMANN:

This is so exciting and Rescue Goldie here in Colorado joins me in telling Enzo to stay strong and the wait will be over soon! Such an adventure can only be successful with so many people around the world sending their prayers, Zen, and love!

ENZO'S FUTURE PLANS:

He goes straight to Melbourne Quarantine from the aireport on Tuesday late afternoon, and we do not meet him until at least 24 hours later. Probably we won't actually see him until Thursday, as the Quarantine people like them to have at least 24 hours to settle down and sleep off the flight. He will have one personal carer for the whole time he is there, which is 30 days.

Bill & I will visit him each week so he gets to know us, and on 11 January 11, we will collect him and bring him home to Wombat Bend to become an Aussie A for a little while, one of our Elastic Band. Then in February, we will drive him up to Sydney for his reunion with Atia & Maia.

Those dates are not yet fixed, as it depends on when Lizzie Hurtt (Chester's Mum) is coming home to OZ from England in the new year. She will come to Wombat Bend and look after the three kids while we go up to Sydney with Enzo.

So there is still a bit of organising yet, but it's all falling into place.

I've just spoken to Atia in Sydney, who still cannot believe he will be here in 30 more hours.

PETER MORTENSEN:

Good news! Thank you Sue. You are right, Jan, Enzo sure looks fine. He's a real man! Dinner first, then travelling.

LIBBY KARIER& MOLLY:

I think Christmas Eve is coming early this year.

I'm so excited. In less than 24 hours he'll be in Melbourne at Quarantine.

I'm sure I won't be able to sleep tonight knowing he's arriving as I do (not unlike Santa Claus, eh?) and yet, as my mom used to say about Santa, "the faster you fall asleep, the faster he'll be here".

Ohhh, I'm on pins & needles; you & Bill must be positively electric!
