Helmut writes:
We already had our morning walk . . . it's very cold outside today (there was ice on the windows!)
He was so happy when I came down from the sleeping room; he drank a lot now and I will have a short coffee and then we go to the airport - we meet the government vet at 8:00 a.m. (its 6:30 a.m. now) - Enzo is my only animal this
morning so I will return after I have handed over him to Austrian Airlines and then I report again!
A few hours later comes the word:
All is ok, flight departs with just 10 minutes delay . . . so I am waiting for your confirmation that he arrived at Spotswood Quarantine!
Sue adds:
Yes! I just called Helmut because I felt like it!
He is a lovely person, really lovely. He said Enzo settled into his crate very well, and was very calm and sweet and not at all nervous, just a little bit shy. He will be fine, Helmut said.
ELLANA LIVERMORE:
Oh . . . I hope he isn't afraid. That picture did me in.
What a long journey he is having today.
Ohh that one did me in too . . . poor guy has no idea what is going on and also that the whole world is rooting for him (notice my world only holds Airedale Folks). Then he has to stay in jail for a month. BUT Sue & Bill will visit him and then finally . . . I can't wait to see the pictures of his reunion!
I've got goose pimples with anticipation.
SHIRLEY GATES:
I can't believe this is actually happening NOW - Oh wow, isn't it exciting, worrying, exhausting and absolutely wonderful - just holding our breath everything goes smoothly.
NATALIA & SIMONA:
Pleasant journey, dear Enzo! We love you! We send you plenty of kisses and we hope that you will be all right! Write us - we are waiting [to hear] from you!
MARE MOORE: YIPPPEEEEE!!! Enzo is on the move, making his way ever closer to his family in Oz (and we're real glad too 'cause geez louise, we just don't know how much more of this excitement we can take!!!
My Q man says that all paws 'n' claws, fingers 'n' toes, arms 'n' legs (& even eyes too:)are crossed here that Enzo lands safe & sound.
ANDREA SHAW: I've been sooooooo excited for you & Enzo & Maia . . . and just everyone! Can't wait to see his pix with YOU! What a wonderful effort you have organized, and the worldwide support leaves me awestruck.
BIG hugs from this side of the pond . . .
Sue . . . the candle is burning that Enzo has a comfortable and not too stressful flight. What a journey for this BIG guy. What a long time and what an amazing bunch (you included) of people who have helped bring Enzo back to his family. I hope when he arrives in OZ that his quarantine isn't too difficult for him and that everything is peachy.
CINDY & TALLULAH
What a wonderful story. God speed Enzo. Have a safe and peaceful flight. Can't wait to hear that you have landed. What a great group of people. You are just like family.
ELLEN McGEAGH: Sue, you're not the only one getting choked up. Hurray for Enzo and his family! Hurray for you working so hard to put this family back together again!
Can't wait for pictures and updates and especially a picture of Enzo & his little girl!
It is always a pleasure to help out this Aussie! You have the most interesting & varied causes, ever. I'll stayed glued to Andréa's pages --
this is one saga that I don't want to miss!
