THERE ARE FOUR NEW PICTURES OF ENZO IN VIENNA ON PAGE 16.

Anim

JACKIE McGUINNESS:

Wow! He is a big boy; he makes mine look quite petite. Don't you just want to give him a big bear hug? I like the hair cut sort of Black Russian/Giant Schnauzer look; I bet when this boy stands on your foot you know it's been stood on.

Anim

SALLY SCHNELLMANN:

What a joy to see Sue & Enzo . . . and what a big boy he is. He is so handsome and he looks pretty mellow after all he's been through.

Sue, thank you so much for sharing this visit with us, and for giving Enzo lots of time to get to know you.

You'd think after all these years of doing Airedale Rescue that I'd be past the emotional stage of rescue, but no - the tears still well up when I look at these pictures. Airedales are the best in my world, and their humans are too!

Anim

MAREIKE KUYPERS:

I was so happy to see the pictures of Enzo with Sue.

Anim

MAUREEN SCOTT:

Sue did a terrific job coordinating the entire Enzo repatriation. She had a huge number of strings to weave together and did it beautifully . . . .

The pictures are a delight. Enzo looks like such a lovable bear of a dog. Sue's happy smile says it all . . . and it's one we all mirror out here in Airedale-Land!

Anim

BOBMYRETIREDBOSS ANDERSON:

Unbelievable! What a heathy lad he is! Kudos to all who made this happen . . . . Beautiful photos & great pages!

Anim

LIBBY KARIER:

Sue,

My apologies kiddo but . . . you're going to be silly grinning for a looong time to come. You have to give Enzo-boy a silly grin for each & every one of us!

Libby (who loves seeing your & Enzo's faces smiling at each other)
and Molly (relieved that another 'dale is this-much-closer to home)

Anim

ANDREA SHAW:

What a true joy to finally see these wonderful pix of Enzo with Sue! The worldwide bond we 'dalers have is amazing . . . and tears of happiness are in my eyes. Thank you, Sue (and all), for completing this incredible circle of reunion!

We are jumping up and down, here . . . can you feel it?!!

Anim

MARE MOORE:

Don't ya just LOVE that one fly-away ear, standin' up there a-wavin' at us all?! He looks like such a cuddle-bear...great big AIREhugs to both Enzo and you, Sue! (and to you as well, Andréa - without all your computer help, it would've been so much harder for Sue to keep us abreast of all the happenings along the way in "Enzo's Incredible Journey"

Sue continues:

Evie & others have asked me if Enzo's beautiful pink-lined patchwork quilt, provided by Simona, survived the Quarantine entry. It did indeed, and is now washed & clean & residing at Wombat Bend along with his brand new used-once Enzo Crate.

Simona's quilt will join the Bitte Paper as Enzo Treasures for Atia.

The brand new E Crate - well, I will endeavour to sell it as there's a couple of hundred dollars worth of perfect crate there, and it could be usefully spent on Enzo and some acupuncture & homeopathic work in February.

On the subject of Enzo Dollars, I am working on the budget at present and will let you all know the total expenditure for Enzo's Journey. I'm delighted to say that my present guesstimate is that the $4600AUD which Enzo's Raffle generated (nearly two hundred people contributed!) will be a close match for all the payments I've been making for him.

Originally I had estimated a cost of $3500AUD, but in fact I was far from the mark on that. Close on another thousand dollars is more accurate.

Most wonderful of all, Helmut Bogner, who gave of his utmost goodwill for Enzo, charged me only for the fixed costs (Enzo's Airefare, crate, government vet costs & documentation). He did not charge a single cent for his own involvement, which was considerable.

THANK YOU, HELMUT!

ROS PADFIELD:

Dear Sue (and Bill for your loving support),

Congratulations - he's home now, and it's all down to your superhuman efforts. It was wonderful to read the latest Enzo pages and I do hope by now you've had some of that sleep that was recommended by the concerned Aire fraternity. I'm sure Atia & Maia are beside themselves with joy. I expect you've been to see Enzo by now and everyone I know will wish that they could have been with you.

What an unbelievably beautiful poem Paul has written along with the tributes to the team. He sums up what we all feel but don't have the ability to put into words.

Finally, but not least, we're thrilled to have won a prize and send our thanks for all your hard work in respect to the raffle, I'm sure all other winners are equally thrilled. The jacket will be worn with considerable pride!

Enzo still has a little part of his journey to go but he's almost there and what's so important is that he's back home in Oz.
