ANOTHER VISIT

The countdown continues for Enzo -
Because the Quarantine authorities did not allow visiting during the Christmas break, we were at the gate bright & early on Thursday to see our boy.
I must admit I had worried that he might have felt a little abandoned, but there was nothing we could do about it. So with a bag packed full of treats, we called his name as we approached his gate, and there was his eager face and smiley bright eyes . . . ooooh, he said, I just knew you would be here today! Watcher got in that bag???
With a happydance & a knee-nudge as we put on his collar & lead, he scampered out the gate and headed for the exit which leads out to the playpens. He knew the way and wasn't about to waste time greeting other dogs in their pens.
Once settled in our off-lead exercise pen, we let him decide what he wanted to do. I put the bag on a nearby seat, and waited. He checked out the neighbours, wagged his tail and made it plain that he was much more interested in us . . . and what goodies we might have.
It was just lovely to see how relaxed and almost philosophical he is. He seems to know that this is just a temporary blip in his journey and accepts it with good humour.

In Sue's bag is a blue cap with a drawing on it of Mungo & Co I made up for her, when Sue was here in the States in 2003 [on her way to WOTA - Week of the Airedale Terrier] . . . loved seeing it.
