Dinner time at WB
L-R: Ascha, Aerem behind her, Enzo & Chester
Sue writes:
Every evening after dinner, we all walk around the billabong.
The favourite tree at the far end has a low branch, more or less Airedale-head height, and mysteriously it sprouts biscuits (4x2s we call them, as that's what they measure).
Only good Airedales who sit & wait till their name is called are lucky enough to get one. Works every time!
Here is Enzo in his Aussie bandana reaching for his bikky.
Aerem already has his;
Ascha & Chester (in blue bandana) are patiently waiting.
Ascha (that's her hind end) loves a challenge.
Her 2x4's are always a tiny bit out of reach.
The boys sit & wait . . .
. . . while Enzo gets another turn . . .
. . . and Aerem, being the littlest, not only has a pile of sticks to stand on, but his 2x4 miraculously grows a little lower down the branch.
Enzo in the sunshine
DONNA LIPSCOMB:
A special THANKs to Enzo.................
I am sooooo happy you are almost home at last! I am very glad to have helped, even just a little bit. Thanks so much for the great Aussie Flag Bandana and for the note, too!
Gurgi & I have been discussing how to share this great bandana . . . I may have to bribe him with LOTS of 2x4's!
Do those Aussie Airedales REALLY hop around like kangaroos with their young'uns seat-belted in?????? How cool!
Sue, I'll bet you'd like to have Enzo's family move in with you & yours just so you won't have to let him go! How will the potting shed ever get finished without Enzo's help? What a WONDERFUL act of kindness you bestowed upon Enzo & his family!
Andréa, THANK YOU for all the behind-the-scenes work you've done to bring this saga to life for all of us to see so clearly that we can feel every new adventure & update!
I admire & applaud you both for all you've done! Thank You!
BOBBI PROCYK:
Between Goldie & Enzo, the tears just flow!
It is so wonderful to see able to follow the progress of these two amazing courageous Airedales.
Tonight, which is mild and the gumleaves are whispering in the breeze and the moon is flying amongst the clouds, I went out to the deck to call Enzo inside for bed. He is tucked up on one of the beds there, so comfortable & content, I decided (at least for now) to let him stay there.
If, when I go to bed in a few minutes, he wants to come in . . . fine. If he wants to stay there and listen to the crickets, he can. Normally we don't have them sleeping outside, as there are too many foxes calling and Chester at least would spend the night on high alert.
But Enzo is so peaceful. I hate to disturb him.
