Oh Sue, what a tragic thing to have happen to the old chap, the very best & most powerful ZEN is winging its way from us here in South Africa (although there aren't that many of us) although I have a feeling that we all know the outcome, we never want to think of it.
Do give Atia & Maia our very best, and of course lots of love to Enzo as well.
JACKIE McGUINNESS & ANNIE, MR. MAC, MAHRI & ELLIE: Dear Enzo We are sending you mega loads of zen to help you
the wild bunch
MARE MOORE: Wow! Oh Sue, I am stunned . . . and deeply saddened . . . as I'm sure all must be who will read this news. This is an unexpected & dreaded turn of events but not really all that surprising given that Enzo was no youngster when the horrible & sudden stressors of this last year were thrust upon him. Any aged creature, regardless of species, will naturally have less resilience to recover as well or as quickly from strife as when young . . . Our thoughts, prayers & OODLES of AIREzen are of course being sent to our sweet Enzo & his family, and to you as well dear Sue . . . this is such a blow to you as well who have loved & have fought so hard for Enzo! We must all try to remain positive and send positive vibes out into the universe for Enzo's sake. As one who firmly believes in, and practises, various alternative medical measures for my own family (including my own old lad, my beloved Quincey), I am especially pleased to learn of the willingness & open-minded-ness of the University vet with regards to working with the alternative vet, Dr Fougere (of whom I am familiar having visited her site many times:. This fact alone gives me great hope for our Enzo:. I see no reason why the best of both worlds, western & alternative, cannot complement one another and be employed together to give any individual a greater scope of treatment possiblities.
Peace & many blessings be to you all from me & mine.
What to say - What to say . . . I am not going to dwell on anything negative - not that I want to be an ostrich - I recognize the symptoms but then, nothing is holding us back from thinking positive and wishing the absolute very best for this beautiful boy & his family . . . so . . . that I now do . . . . You & Atia are doing everything humanly possible at your end - all the remains for us out here in O-Oz (Outside Oz) is to staff the ZEN pumps and get that magic Airedale pixie dust out into the atmosphere and then to have it descend gently down on all of you & the ENZO boy in the land of Oz. You must feel it descending down on you now, even as I type these words, because there are so many of us at the pumps. Whatever happens this will be one of the truest stories of love & devotion & selfless acts of kindness any of us will be so privileged to experience in our lifetimes. All of the emotions that we have felt collectively as we have walked this path together - that alone is an amazing thing. Regardless of where we have stood on this planet, we have been connected together by this gossamer thread of goodness called ENZO. My heart & my fondest wishes are with all of you in Oz. If there is anything more I (we) can do - let us know. Thank you Sue for continuing to keep us connected - even in the difficult times. We can only try to imagine your emotion & pain as you travel this part of the path. Sweet dreams our beautiful traveler! Love to all in Oz. Paul, from the HOT sands of Kuwait . . . thinking ambidextrous thoughts for our Boy
Focus on the dexter . . .
KATHI & SIMON: My thoughts & positive AireZen are winging their way to the Southern Hemisphere as I type. Enzo was my first introduction to this group, and his story truly showed me what you all are about. Many times I have sat here, reading of his trials & triumphs with tears in my eyes. I have been honored to "know" him!
Now, he is being tried again. I hope you, Atia, Maia can keep your spirits high throughout this next challenge. No matter the outcome, Enzo's will always be the most amazing story of unconditional love & caring by people all around the world. He is a blessing to all of us. Keep smiling, it's as Enzo would want it.
PAULA:
Poor old man . . . prayers going up. He will have lots of love & peace because he is with his loved ones for the rest of the journey.
LORA OLIVER & MINNIE:
I read Enzoıs story for the first time this morning and cried my eyes out. What an amazing story. Iım speechless. I know that tears wonıt help him or anyone else, so I will wipe them away and pray to my Heavenly Father. What wonderful friends & love surround him.
CINDY & TALLULAH:
What devastating news. Somehow I just knew when I saw your message, it wasn't good. I think of Enzo often. I am sending prayers & hope to you, Enzo & his family. It is just hard to believe after all that boy has been through, and now this.
ELIZABETH BERRY & THE BERRYDALES: I have followed every post of Enzo's story with his image in my heart & tears in my eyes - such an extraordinary boy, such an extraordinary story. When you first posted to us about him, I thought what you were trying to do was impossible. I was obviously very much mistaken! What an exceptional person you are to have responded as you did and are still doing!! I would definitely look into homeopathic options, acupuncture & whatever else looks possible. I have had excellent results with arthritis, anxiety & seizures with my Airedales - maybe there is a way to quot;removequot; the aggression from the cancer, or at least retard its progress? Please keep us posted & know that we all hold Enzo, you, Atia & Maia in our hearts.
With lots of prayers & AireZen,
TAIMI HAENSEL & ULLY & PIM: ZEN TO ENZO!
He is going to be fine.
Zen to Atia and to Sue too, so both can lead Enzo through the path of recovery.
MARY & SARGE: I'm so sorry to learn of Enzo's illness. I will be praying for him and you, Atia, & Maia. It's reassuring to know that you have access to alternative medical procedures for Enzo. And it's also heartening that Aitor is supportive & cooperative with your wishes to pursue this route. I concur that this approach is quite superior and will cause Enzo the least stress & discomfort; I've never been a proponent of the quot;orthodoxquot; treatments for cancer . . . the treatment being worse than the cancer itself.
It's so tragic that this event has ensued after everything poor Enzo has experienced . . . and as you so wisely wrote, the stress, fear & loss are probably big factors in his sickness. You can be assured that Enzo is receiving lots of positive energy from this group.
MARY LOU & RORY THE LITTLE IRISH: HUGE, BIG, ENORMOUS Airedale & Irish Terrier ZEN for Enzo. We are sending it all the way from South Carolina, USA. He has touched so many hearts and has been such an inspiration for everyone. We will be thinking of him and praying for him.
Sending lots & lots of love to all in OZ.
MARIE & THE VEGAS PACK: My heart is filled with healthy wishes & hope for Enzo. If the wishes & the prayers of the world-wide community that loves & adores Enzo means anything, he'll be here for as long as he can and with as little pain & discomfort as possible. May I have your permission to share this news with the Welsh Terrier community so that we can add to the powerful ZEN winging his way? Thanks for keeping us updated, Sue. I can only imagine how hard it must be for you to put this news into type.
Marie & the Vegas Pack plus Harry (foster WT)
ELLEN McGEAGH: I am sending HUGE Zen for Enzo and his family, which includes you. The poor old guy has been through so much in the last year it seems unbelievably unfair that something like this happen to him, too.
I'll be thinking of all of you.
