On 20 August, Sue continues:
I'm sorry to leave you all in suspense over the weekend. But like any good meal, it should be savoured -- right?
Having begun to lock in place the how & the when & the manner of Enzo's return to Australia, I've been concentrating more thought on ways of funding his airefaire & quarantine expenses, which are in the order of . That translates approximately to , or .
I know we all have 'Rescue' carved into our hearts & tattoo-ed across our foreheads, but I confess I have felt anxious about initiating any kind of fund-raiser that might take attention away from Kekoa, from Meghan, and of course, from The Quilt.
So my thinking led me to another plan. Spread over a longer, slower period of time, those who wish to contribute to Enzo's flight plan might like to do so when & as it suits personal budgets. I do not have to pay for Enzo's flight until - believe it or not - the very day of his departure from Vienna. Not even a deposit is required by Helmut. I have explained the circumstances of Enzo's rescue to him, and it's clear he has decided to trust me, which fills my heart with gladness.

So (drum rollllllllllllllllll), here is what I've come up with. It's a raffle, yes, with some stunning prizes which have been donated by truly wonderful friends. Call them 'Friends of Enzo' if you like.
But as we need to concentrate on The Quilt, Enzo's raffle can chug along until after Montgomery, when, as we know, the lucky winner is always announced.
Now, I imagine you really would like to know what these Enzo-prizes are, wouldn't you?
ALL RAFFLE INFORMATION IS .
So, dear Airedale Families, we are on the way ---- and I am as certain as I can possibly be that Enzo will be cared for by the Good Fairies as we work to bring him safely home.
I phoned Atia tonight for our regular update chat, and she especially asks me to send her most grateful thanks & appreciation beyond measure for all the thoughts, messages & loving concern that have been arriving for Enzo & herself.
Five weeks ago, she was facing an impossible choice. Today, she has hope - more than hope - belief that Enzo will come home, that they will be reunited, and that some part at least of this terrible experience will be wiped out, and replaced with the joy of being together again.
TAIMI HAENSEL & ULLY & PIM:
We share your joy!
Congratulations (and thank you for being such a wonderful person)! Let's hope Airedales throughout the world can always count on a friend like you.
