Walking beside the river . . . one of Enzo's favourite places to read the latest news. It will take me some time to respond to each and every one of you, but please accept this note as a personal and heartfelt thank you from both Atia and myself. Still striding out . . .
The emails you've sent are being gathered into a folder which I will send to her, but I've already shared many of them with her by telephone. She is still in a state of numbness and shock, and your words of comfort and expressions of love for Enzo mean a very great deal to us both. Maia on her scooter, with Enzo leading the way On our walk, we met a couple we recognised from my August visit. They have two Senior Viszlas, sweet-natured friendly dogs whom Enzo was happy to meet. C'mon you two, what about a game of 'Who's The Boss Around Here?' You'd know me by my ear anytime, wouldn't you? Even knowing that this would be our last walk together, somehow we found enough courage to let him be himself, and enjoy his pleasure at being simply that - himself.
