Cris Ruckman, Don Pett, and the Billings Dog Pack sent this cozy quilt to Goldie. I have Goldie on top of it for these pictures, but when we're having quiet times, I put this soft quilt on top of Goldie and it really does calm her. Cris made this especially for Goldie and I think the love put into making the quilt has made its way to Goldie and as Paul Diggins says, "Has magical 'Pixie Dust' that calms our foster kids." Goldie loves this quilt and thanks the whole clan in Billings!
On top of that, today we received a green mystery box from Marie Korta in Baldwinsville, NY. Imagine Gracie's delight when the card inside not only had Goldie's name on it, but Gracie's too!
What Airedale doesn't love to help unwrap a box . . . and Gracie & Goldie are no exception. The three soft squeaky toys inside were an immediate hit, with both dogs clamoring to take all three. Gracie is a notorious "hoarder" so I had to make sure it was clear these were for Goldie too.
Watching Goldie get so excited by the toys was truly like watching a child at Christmas. Very heartwarming. What wonderful gifts for the girls. Gracie & Goldie are very happy right now and they thank Marie for her thoughtfulness.
On another note, after Goldie's acupuncture on Monday, she's really been trying to use her back right leg more. It's so uplifting to see her trying so hard. It may start to wane by our appointment next week, but it's fantastic to see things "waking up" in her legs. Tomorrow we have our second water therapy session.

Great pictures, Lisa. Goldie looks so alert & intelligent. You are doing a great job. I don't think any of us will ever look at life the same since having the privilege of knowing this great girl. Maybe we're not her Aire Angels - maybe she was sent as our Aire Angel, to teach all of us.
