Second is more good news on Goldie's recovery from her recent surgery. Here is a note I just received from Priscilla:
TIME TO CELEBRATE - COOKIES FOR EVERYONE!
I just received a call from Dr. Stubbs regarding the results of the lab work done on tissue from and surrounding Goldie's liver and bladder.
In terms of results from that lab work, Dr. Stubbs said we couldn't have wished for anything better. There were no cancer cells found in the tissue surrounding the tumors that he removed from her liver & bladder, so he feels that he definitely removed all of the cancerous cells when he removed the two tumors.
Dr. Stubbs also said that the lab results from the two tumors indicated that it was the type cancer that rarely metastasizes and if it does, and if it ever did, it would be a very slow process.
When I told him how well she is doing and how much more energy she has, he said he wasn''t surprised as she most likely is feeling better than she has in a long time.
