A BLOODYNOSEPOKE
from Harley

Frances Martin of
OKLAHOMA AIREDALE
RESCUE writes:
Harley is a ten-year-old Aire-boy
who came into rescue when his owners
could no longer care for him.
He has a big tumor in his mouth
that needs to be removed immediately.
He's scheduled for surgery
on Tuesday and we're hopeful
that Harley will recover quickly
and be ready for a forever home soon.
We have a great foster home
all lined up for him,
but his vet bills are estimated
to be around $1600.

On 21 November, Frances writes:
Harley's tumor is an Acanthomatous ameloblastoma.
(Tumors of odontogenic origin
arising in tissues which give origin to the teeth)
are the most common BENIGN tumors of the canine oral cavity].
His surgery is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. Please send Zen!
He's met my crew and is having a blast,
running around the yard and doing the playbow with the others!
I was a little concerned about his 80 pounds
barrelling into Bridget3Legs & the little squirts,
but he's behaving very appropriately.
He's a very young TEN!

CHARLENE MILLER:
Harley will be in my thoughts & prayers! My girl Ruby had this type of tumor, had surgery and is doing just fine. We caught it right at the beginning, so that was a plus. She lost a few bottom front teeth, but still smiles. In fact, I think that's what she wants for Christmas. As the song says: "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!"
I'll be thinking of Harley!
PATRICIA WEBSTER:
Sending loads of Zen, love & prayers for Harley. I'll be thinking of him.
