JUDY'S SURGERIES

Not long ago, Judy was deemed fit enough to weather some necessary surgical procedures. Not only did she desperately need her teeth cleaned, but also had number of lumps & bumps which our AireCanada vet did not much like.
Harness with short strap help us manage her, as she is blind & deaf.
Down to the clinic she went bright & early on the appointed day, complaining sadly about the lack of breakfast. The surgery was nasty - 90 minutes of carving & dental attention. She had a lump removed from her mouth, a wart from the back of her neck precisely where her collar would rub on it, another large bump taken off her side and some growths excised from the base of her tail.
The latter were of the greatest concern. What was visible were two lumps approximately the size of golf balls. One was actually located on her tail and the other almost exactly where the tail joined her haunches. When the vet had removed these, to his horror, he discovered a third golf-ball-sized mass hiding beneath the first two. The lumps were dark red and looked very evil. Poor Judy required so many stitches to close this wound that her tail looked like it had developed a zipper!
