JUDY & TYNER UPDATE

I've had some queries regarding the present whereabouts and status of Judy & Tyner, the dogs who lived under a porch for many years out here on the west coast of Canada. Here's an update:
Tyner has been adopted by a great family who say that she is the centre of their lives.
Judy, who was originally fostered by the Circus, has been moved to a superb long-term foster home. The foster parents have looked after Simba & Taylor (one of the AireCanada spokesdogs for the 2008 BURNING' LOVE FOR SENIOR AIREDALES Fundraiser) for us until both girls crossed the Bridge. They are wonderful care-givers to the Granny-Dales, love them dearly, mourn when they depart and then gamely accept yet another.
Judy probably would have stayed permanently with the Circus except that she and Murphee really, REALLY disliked each other. It does occasionally happen that dogs decide they absolutely Do. Not. Care. for another animal in the household and vice versa. In such cases, it usually is best for the comfort & safety of all to move the new dog along to a better environment.
In her new home, Judy has a younger brother, rescue-boy Otis, who appears to like her just fine. With only two dogs on site, she gets a lot more attention than she did in a pack of four.
FosterDad Tom remarks that Judy "barges through life, seeing and hearing very little, but thinking she's the cat's meow nevertheless!" He further notes that "this is nice work if you can get it . . . ."
I was particularly drawn to Judy and am very sorry we needed to move her to long-term foster care, but I know that the foster parents will cherish Judy as much as we did. She is happy and healthy and adores these fine people. A nice, nice place for her to end her days . . . .
