PORSCHE MEETS SMART CAR 30 MARCH 2008

If Ms Pix is a Hummer and Miss Judy is a Smart Car, Murphee the Maniac is definitely a Porsche. He's sleek (when he's been groomed) & fast & swaggers very nicely. He has this attitude that says, "I'm wonderful. Don't you just love mememememe?" This morning, it seems that the Porsche may have collided with the Smart Car! I was in the kitchen, making breakfast, when I heard a series of rusty-hinge barks interspersed with sharp little YIPES. Hmmnnn . . . . Off to investigate; I discover the Smart Car is chasing the Porsche round & round the dining room table, nipping at the Porsche's . . . um . . . tail lights. The Porsche is uttering small apologetic honks which the incensed Smart Car is ignoring. The Hummer is looking on in awe, clearly thinking, "Gee, I'm glad that's not me!" The Smart Car appeared to be winning the race. Mom promptly played traffic cop, called everyone to order and wrote tickets sending the culprits off to the "garage" for a time-out. I have no idea what prompted this exchange but suspect that the Porsche may have offered a little game of bitey-face which was not taken by the Smart Car in the spirit intended . . . . It's very nice to see Airedale spirit suddenly being exhibited by this miniature rescue girl. I figured there was an Airedale inside that dirty, depressed little body somewhere if only we could find it . . . .
