	PAM & STEVE SIMPSON In honor of our Sophie, who is not only a heartworm survivor but a heartworm treatment survivor. It is not an easy road. We did hospitalize her for the second shot (one day only). That is when the microfilariae can cause problems. But Sophie did fine. I hope that Lizzy continues to improve. All of that medical care had to be very expensive. We did a small part and hope that it helps and that others can do small parts too . . . because they all add up in the end!

We raided the chocolate fund and found a few spare pennies to send her; they come with skiploads of Zen to get that sweet little girl racing round like a'dales of her age should. Becky Preston writes: Lizzie's vet bills are at $3661.49 as of now and she will need follow-up care to make sure that her heart has stabilized. We have raised $1461.00 through everyone's generous donations and have some hot & heavy bidding going on on eBay for an Airedale Pillow!! We cannot tell you how much we appreciate the outpouring of love for Lizzie.
