We had a really nice visit with Scott & Amos on Sunday. All the things they brought were so much appreciated. Oscar has adopted the Kong football as his favorite thing in the world. He carries it with him when he is allowed to have it. I can't leave it in his kennel when I am not watching, as I don't know if he can bite off a chunk yet or not. So far he just carries it and seems very surprised if I make it squeek.
I took Leda out to meet Oscar yesterday; neither one of them seemed much interested in the other. Leda did give him a sniff and a good snarl, just to let him know that she is the queen, but then she was off to inspect the new toys. Some babysitter she is. She did manage swipe the new furry Wubba and bring in the house with her. Oscar can't have it yet anyway, he was very happy when Scott gave it to him, but immediately started peeling the furry fabric off it. Leda can use it for now, but I told her that she will have to give it back later.

Oscar seems to be feeling better all the time and his incision looks good. I can tell it will be a chore to put weight on him, but he is very strong & playful. I got to sleep in the house last night. I woke up a few times to check on him, but he was quiet. He was happy & quiet when I when I went out this morning. Right now he is not quiet and he wants attention, and is quite vocal about it.
I would like to thank everyone for their very generous donations & good wishes for Oscar. We have heard from so many people we know from the Yahoo lists. Thanks to Linda McVey for passing Oscar's story to Facebook. I am now becoming acquainted with a whole new world of Airedale people. I signed up on Facebook some time ago, but that's as far as it went; there just hasn't been enough time in the day. Maybe when things settle down a bit; yeah right, it never seem to settle down around here.
