OSCAR'S ADVENTURES
IN AMOSLAND

31 MARCH 2011

We have received the following report from Oscar
after his first night in AMOSLAND:

Well, once we arrived at Uncle Scott's house, I realized why Amos is such a spoiled little Airedale. Man, what a score coming here was. There are tons & tons of toys & chew toys, and peanut-butter-stuffed Kongs & tug ropes & just a jackpot of stuff. No wonder Amos is so big-headed; he's spoiled rotten!

See how well I pay attention?

I don't have much time for that, though, I have healing to do and have also decided that I'm gonna focus hard and pay full attention to Uncle Scott and make sure I listen real good. I want to be ready for my forever home when it comes time. Plus, I want to show Jan on the weekend that I am being good in school and learning!!! I want her to be proud of me!

So I'm gonna rest to heal, and then pay close attention to all the training he can give me to prepare me. Also, he's working on teaching me the finer points of "Hooman Manipulation" through cute faces, expressionsm & actions. He says you can make hoomans forget they are mad real quick with some of these cute faces . . . so I'm practicing that. See my pics . . . what do you think? I'm a quick study, Scott says. Amos says he will help as he is (so he says) essentially an "Airedale Male Model." Hmmm, see what I mean? Oh well, I'll take all the help I can get.

So I'm here now and being a very good boy. Scott says I'm a completely different dog now; in the living room with the TV going and such, I've calmed way down; Amos & I are just lying around and sleeping on the floor. I think this place will be fun.

I will be going back to Jan's on Friday evenings and then Scott will pick me back up on Monday morning. So, I will be with him from Monday thru Friday, Scott said (wink, wink, wink) and that he would work on Shannon this weekend, so when I get my stitches out next week, maybe, you never know, I might get to go meet all these great other doggies in Glennallen. Paws crossed!

Your most generous donations have been greatly appreciated and very humbling, You have been very good to me in that respect! Coming to rescue is a wonderful thing and I thank you all for your help.

Oscar the Lucky (well, Amos has a title, so I thought I should have one)
