Sarge has graduated to relaxing on the couch. Note that he has his own pillow. He is also starting to show his true colors as an Airedale opportunist - a very hungry opportunist. He is extremely focused on Rosalie's lunch and has learned that pretending to be a starving dog results in lovely treats . . . .

We are all proud of Sarge. He is behaving like the best of guests and can be left loose in the house when his family occasionally goes out to places where he cannot come. In these instances, he curls up happily for a nap on the couch. His family comments: He has such a great character and both family and Sarge are beginning to trust one another.

On 10 July, Darrell writes:

This is the first pic of Sarge coming to us to want to be cuddled. He is such a people dog. It's like our old dog never left, except Sarge has even better manners & looks.

We all say: "How could any one ever give this dog away????"

As you can well imagine, Sarge's trip through Rescue was, although very short, very expensive. Aireflight alone was $300 CAD; still to be paid are his vet & surgery bills.
